All across America, hospitals celebrate Donate Life Month with a flag raising. The raising of the Donate Life flag honors all those whose lives have been affected by organ, eye, and tissue donation.
The University of Maryland Medical Center held a flag raising on April 4th, 2017. Speakers included Katherine Badders, a donor mom; Ralph Davis, a transplant recipient; and oThe LLF’s CEO, Charlie Alexander.
All around the event area, blue and green pinwheels spun in the wind. These pinwheels remind us that we all have the power to make an impact by becoming a organ, eye, and tissue donor.
